Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026.
DermiBun is an English-language skincare publication operated by Benguvar LLC, based in the United States. This notice explains how information is handled at dermibun.com. For privacy questions or requests, email benguvarllc@gmail.com.
Website visits and messages
Serving and protecting the website involves processing technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages, request times, browser details, and error or security records. Our hosting and website services use this information to deliver pages, investigate problems, and prevent abuse. If you email us, we use your address and message to respond and manage the request.
Article comments
When you comment, WordPress stores your name, email address, optional website address, comment, IP address, and browser user-agent information. These records support publishing, moderation, and abuse prevention. Approved comments, display names, and website links may be public; your email address is not displayed with your comment.
Comment avatars use Gravatar, an Automattic service. An identifier derived from your email address can be used to request your avatar, and loading an avatar sends a request to that service. A profile image may appear beside an approved comment. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy. Please do not include private health information or other sensitive details in a public comment.
Cookies and your choices
Cookies and similar browser storage remember choices and support website functions. We use Complianz to manage optional statistics consent. The main purposes are:
- Privacy preferences: Complianz cookies, generally using the
cmplz_prefix, remember your selections and consent status. - Comment preferences: selecting the comment form’s remember-details option allows WordPress to remember your details for a later comment. This choice is separate from statistics consent.
- Statistics: Google Analytics cookies, generally using the
_gaprefix, help distinguish browser visits when you allow statistics.
You can accept or reject optional statistics cookies and change your selection using the controls below. Rejecting statistics does not prevent you from reading our articles. Browser settings also let you remove cookies; doing so may remove your saved preferences.
Optional Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 only when you choose statistics consent. It helps us understand visits to our articles and use of the site through information such as page addresses and titles, referral information, visit timing, approximate location, browser and device details, and permitted interactions. Cookie identifiers distinguish visits; these records are not anonymous simply because they do not include your name.
Google Analytics is blocked until statistics consent is given. Withdrawing consent stops subsequent Analytics collection; it does not automatically erase information already collected. You can contact us about a deletion request.
Google signals, user-provided data collection, and advertising personalization are disabled in this Analytics setup. Automatic form and site-search measurement are also disabled. We configure email-pattern and specified URL-parameter redaction to reduce accidental collection of identifying information. These safeguards do not guarantee that every sensitive value will be detected.
Google processes the permitted measurements to provide Analytics. Read how Google uses information from partner sites and Google’s Privacy Policy.
How long information is kept
Our Analytics user-level and event-level retention settings are 14 months, with the option to restart user retention on new activity turned off. Google’s standard aggregated reports are not governed by that setting. Browser cookie lifetimes are separate from Analytics data retention.
Approved comments and their associated metadata remain unless removed; we do not apply an automatic expiry to these records. Retention of operational logs, backups, consent records, and correspondence depends on their purpose, security needs, provider settings, and any applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact us for information about a particular record or a deletion request.
Service providers and outside websites
Hosting, website maintenance, email, avatar, and enabled analytics services involve the providers needed to perform those functions. Google operates servers in different countries, so permitted Analytics information may be processed outside your country. Other providers may also process information in locations where they operate.
Our articles link to outside sources. Following a link takes you to a website with its own privacy practices. An ordinary link is different from content embedded directly in a page, which can contact another provider as the page loads.
Privacy requests
Depending on the law that applies to you and this website, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses. Where use depends on consent, you can withdraw it. Rights and exceptions vary with the applicable law.
Contact benguvarllc@gmail.com and explain how you interacted with the site and what your request concerns. We may need reasonable information to verify a request. Please do not send identity documents or sensitive health details unless specifically needed and requested.
Changes to this notice
We update this notice when our data practices change. The date above identifies the latest version. Any future shop, newsletter, or other feature that collects additional information will need to be reflected in this notice.
